Heel Tough Blog: UNC Stays Busy Handing Out Scholarship Offers

Pittsburgh Sports Now

While the Tar Heels are still looking for their first commitment of the 2025 recruiting class, Hubert Davis is still offering players in that class scholarships to join his program next season. The latest player to receive an offer, is Isaiah Denis, a 6-5 combo guard from Davidson, North Carolina. Denis is regarded as the No. 42 player in the 2025 class, and is the No. 9 combo guard, and the No. 2 player from the Tar Heel state. Denis holds many offers from Division I programs as you can imagine, including in-state rival NC State, ACC opponents Miami and Florida State, West Virginia, and others. Denis joins a long list of guards that UNC has offered in the 2025 class, as they’ll have their hands full trying to replace program legend RJ Davis, and of course, you can’t predict other personnel losses to the NBA or the transfer portal.

In addition to offering Denis from the 2025 class, Davis is also handing out offers in the 2026 class, and last night he offered 2026 small forward, Caleb Holt, out of Alabama. Holt is ranked as the No. 3 overall player in the 2026 class, the No. 1 small forward, and the No. 1 player from the state of Alabama. UNC joins Duke, Alabama, Auburn, Cincinnati, Georgia, and others as schools to have offered Holt, as his recruitment is really starting to heat up.
