After losing Ian Jackson to the transfer portal yesterday, the pressure is on Hubert Davis to put together a backcourt that can compete atop of the ACC next season, which will be difficult, considering the program’s second all-time leading scorer is graduating, and Elliot Cadeau has also left the program via the transfer portal. Carolina has secured a visit with Michigan State transfer Tre Holloman, once the dead period ends later this week, but they can’t stop there, and they haven’t.

Xaivian Lee is among the best guards in the transfer portal, after averaging 16.9 points per game last year for Princeton, and according to Adam Zagoria, the Heels are among the programs involved in Lee’s transfer portal recruitment, along with St. John’s, and the recently crowned national champions, the Florida Gators. Not only is Lee in the transfer portal, he has entered his name into the NBA Draft, and will go through the pre-draft process.

Lee, a 6-3 guard, has spent his entire career at Princeton, playing in 91 games, with 59 starts. For his career, Lee is a 12.7 point per game scorer, to go along with 4.5 rebounds, and 3.3 assists. He is a 44% lifetime shooter but is only a 33% lifetime shooter from behind the arc. During his time with the Princeton Tigers, Lee has earned All-Ivy League honors twice and was named to the 2025 All-Ivy League tournament team.
