While Carolina was busy trying to make a run in the NCAA Tournament, one of their top targets in the 2024 recruiting class, Trentyn Flowers set a commitment date for his recruitment. Flowers hails from Combine Academy in Lincolnton, North Carolina, and is ranked as the No. 21 player in the 2024 class, the No. 7 small forward, and the No. 4 player from the Tar Heel state. Flowers is set to announce his college decision one week from today. He has narrowed down his recruitment to, North Carolina, Kansas, Creighton, Arkansas, Alabama, and Louisville.
Flowers has been recruited by UNC for well over a year now but has yet to officially visit the campus. Of the schools still left in his recruitment, he last visited Creighton back on November 5th and Louisville on October 21st.
Hubert Davis and his staff have put together a great 2024 class so far, as they have secured four commits inside the top 50, including three five-star prospects. Landing Flowers would be a huge get, as after watching this team struggle all season long on the wing, he would be a big-time wing player, that would give you Jalen Wilson from Kansas type of vibes. It would also be a signal to other national programs, that you just can’t come into the Tar Heels backyard and leave with some of the best talent in the country. 247Sports has no crystal balls listed, so right now there isn’t any indication of where Flowers will end up playing his college basketball.
