Heel Tough Blog: Tar Heels Working to Flip Two 2025 Prospects

HighSchoolOT

The Tar Heels have lost three commitments in the past few weeks on the 2025 recruiting trail, but the team is looking to rebound by flipping a couple of new offers.

It starts with 2025 3✮ WR Jamien Little, who the staff offered last Monday. Little, the No. 127 wide receiver in the 2025 class according to 247Sports, has been committed to Wake Forest since March but has begun to look around more in the past few weeks. Duke hosted him the weekend prior to the Tar Heels offer and Inside Carolina is reporting that he is also planning to visit Chapel Hill in the coming weeks.

Little, the No. 21 player in the state of North Carolina in the class, is in the midst of his senior season at Hickory High School in Hickory, NC. In ten games so far this season, he caught 39 passes for 808 yards and 12 touchdowns, helping to lead his team to the 3A Western Foothills conference title. This follows a breakout junior season where he finished with 70 catches for 1342 yards and 20 touchdowns as part of a Hickory team that took home the 3A state title.

The staff also handed out an offer to 2025 3✮ CB Aydan West, a current Michigan State commit. West has been committed to the Spartans since June and the Tar Heel offer is his first since that commitment. Right now, it isn’t clear just how much of an effect the offer has had on him and whether or not it will result in a visit to campus.
