Bill Belichick is making significant waves on the 2026 recruiting trail and Monday’s storylines from that cycle was proof of that.

According to On3 Sports recruiting reporter Steve Wiltfong, 2026 5✮ QB Jared Curtis will take a visit to Chapel Hill this spring following an in-home visit from Bill Belichick on Monday afternoon. This will be Curtis's first trip to Chapel Hill despite him being offered last winter by the previous staff.

The Tar Heels will have their work cut out for them, especially since he already has a top six and has began scheduling official visits to three of those schools. So far, Curtis has official trips scheduled to Oregon (June 6-8), Georgia (June 13-15) and South Carolina (June 20-22) and is working on getting ones scheduled with Alabama, Auburn and Ohio State, the other three schools in his top six.

Curtis, the No. 4 overall prospect and No. 1 quarterback prospect in the 2026 class according to 247Sports Composite Player Rankings, is coming off of an amazing junior season at Nashville Christian School in Nashville, TN where he threw for 2,830 yards, 40 touchdowns and three interceptions while running for 637 yards and 18 touchdowns. That followed a sophomore season where he threw for 2,522 yards, 25 touchdowns and nine interceptions while running for 543 yards and 13 touchdowns. He initially put himself on the scene as a freshman when he threw for 2,313 yards, 27 touchdowns and seven interceptions and ran for 483 yards and seven touchdowns.
