Heel Tough Blog: Tar Heels Make Major Portal Splash By Landing Washington LB Transfer

The Tar Heels remain hot in the transfer portal and the team made their biggest addition on Saturday afternoon.

According to Matt Zenitz of 247Sports, Washington linebacker transfer Khmori House has committed to UNC according to his agency, AP Sports Agency. His commitment comes after he took a visit to Chapel Hill on Friday and was set to visit Michigan as of last night. The Wolverines' addition of Georgia linebacker transfer Troy Bowles, however, seemed to alter those plans and seal the deal for him to land with Bill Belichick and company. House will have three years of eligibility remaining.

House, who was ranked as the No. 2 linebacker in the portal according to 247Sports Transfer Portal Player Rankings, played in all 12 games of his true freshman season with the Huskies, which included five starts. He finished the regular season with 35 total tackles, 1.0 tackle for loss, 0.0 sacks, eight total quarterback pressures, an interception and four passes defensed in 317 snaps.

This a very nice addition to a Tar Heel linebacker room that was needing help for next season alongside Amare Campbell. After a promising start as a true freshman, there is potential for House to become a star under Belichick.
