Heel Tough Blog: Tar Heels Lose Third 2025 Commit in Last Week

For the third time this week, the Tar Heels have lost a member of their 2025 class to a different school.

Earlier this morning, 2025 3✮ LB Anthony Kruah made his flip from UNC to Georgia official via social media after weeks of speculation.

Kruah, who had been committed to Carolina since April, had been trending towards the Bulldogs ever since his official visit there back in June. It became even more obvious that he would be flipping when he visited Georgia the past two Saturdays.

With his decommitment, the Tar Heels now have just eleven commits in the 2025 class, one of the smallest in the entire country. The class ranks 67th overall and 15th in the ACC according to 247Sports Composite team rankings, which would be the worst recruiting class that the team has brought in during the modern recruiting era.

The good news is that none of the remaining eleven commits seem to be trending towards a decommitment, but that doesn’t mean that the staff doesn’t still have a lot of work to do to keep them committed.
