The 2026 class is entering the stage where many of the top prospects are beginning to narrow down their decisions and one of the Tar Heels offensive line targets became the latest to do that on Saturday.
Earlier this morning, 2026 3✮ OT Marlen Bright revealed the seven schools that he will be considering moving forward. The Tar Heels, who offered Bright back in early January, are one of those final seven along with Illinois, Penn State, Stanford, Syracuse, Tennessee and Texas A&M.
Bright took a visit to Chapel Hill back on January 18th along with 3✮ QB target Derek Zammit.
This past season, as a junior at DePaul Catholic High School in Wayne, NJ, Bright was named a first team All-Zone member by Jersey Sports Zone and a second team all-state member by NJ.com.
When it comes to where his recruitment stands, Penn State appears to be the heavy favorite here right now. The On3 Sports Recruiting Prediction Machine gives the Nittany Lions a 97.4% chance to eventually land his commitment while the Tar Heels are given a less than 1% chance to eventually be the pick.
