After a scary fall in the game on Saturday afternoon against Boston College, it appears that Jalen Washington will not play in tonight’s game against Pittsburgh.
As first reported by Inside Carolina and later confirmed by the team, Washington will not play tonight with a knee sprain. He did dress and go through warmups but clearly didn’t feel good enough to go tonight.
Washington is coming off one of the best performances of his career on Saturday where he had 18 points and six rebounds in 26 minutes despite coming off the bench. So far this season, Washington is averaging 6.9 points and 5.0 rebounds per game while shooting 56.7% from the field and 8.3% from 3-pt range.
With him out of the lineup, Ven-Allen Lubin should get his second consecutive start while Tyzhaun Claude and James Brown could see extended playing time, especially if the team is to get into foul trouble down low like they have in the last two games.
