The Tar Heels are set to open their full official visit schedule next Saturday when their first group of priority targets will be on campus.
While most of the visits that will take place over the next month have been scheduled since late February, the team has recently added a visit from one of the nation’s best running backs.
Inside Carolina’s Don Callahan reported on Wednesday that 2025 4✮ RB Jabree Wallace-Coleman will be visiting Chapel Hill next month after the Tar Heels joined the race for him a little over a month ago. He will be on campus June 11th-13th, meaning the Tar Heels will have a great chance to make an impression with him being the sole focus during his visit. He will also take official visits to Penn State (June 14th-16th) and Michigan State (June 21st-23rd) in the next month.
It feels like the Tar Heels have an opportunity here with how quickly they were able to make up ground on the two long-standing contenders for him, but there is still a clear leader that they will have to catch. Penn State has been on the Philadelphia native since his freshman year and has firmly established itself as the leader in this race. The Tar Heels' success with running backs under Mack Brown speaks volumes and gives them a chance with any player at the position, but they will need to really bring it in a few weeks.
