For the third time in the last four days, the Tar Heels have landed a commitment in the 2026 recruiting class.

As he announced via social media earlier this afternoon, 2026 3✮ WR Kei’Maurii Miles has committed to UNC over Georgia, Memphis and others. His commitment comes after he took an unofficial trip to campus back in late March and told Chad Simmons of On3 Sports last week that the Tar Heels were “on top”.

Miles, who is currently ranked as the No. 900 overall prospect and No. 144 wide receiver prospect by 247Sports Composite Player Rankings, hails from Carver High School in Columbus, GA. This past season, as a junior, he caught 17 passes for 452 yards and eight touchdowns while playing in just six games this season due to injury. The year prior, as a sophomore, Miles also caught 17 passes for 244 yards and two touchdowns while playing in ten games for the team.

As Miles stats show, he is a guy who thrives in the deep passing game. He does a great job of consistently winning on routes deep down the field and has the speed to pull away after making the deep catches. You saw it more on his sophomore tape than his junior tape, but there is some nice ability after the catch that he possesses and can allow him to turn screen plays into first downs. At 6’2, 165 lbs., he doesn’t have the biggest frame, but that doesn’t mean that he can’t make plays on 50/50 balls and come away with the catch. He has a lot of work to do as a route runner and he’ll need to become more of a threat in the intermediate passing game, but there are raw tools to work with here.

With his commitment, the Tar Heels have their second wide receiver commitment in the class and their eleventh overall. It also bumps the recruiting class up to No. 18 overall and No. 6 in the ACC in the 247Sports Composite Team Rankings.
