For the second time this week, the Tar Heels have picked up a commitment in the 2025 class from a guy who is committed to the lacrosse program.
According to graphic designer Riley Alberts, Tar Heels’ lacrosse commit Jermaine Anderson will play football, as well, this season. The No. 44 overall lacrosse recruit in the 2025 class has been committed to the lacrosse program since 2023.
Anderson just finished his senior football season at Calvert Hall High School in Baltimore, MD where he played linebacker. He finished with 37 total tackles, 5.0 tackles for loss and 3.0 sacks, three interceptions and one pass defensed.
He joins Gary Merrill as guys who will be playing both as true freshmen this season.
