One of the main focuses for Bill Belichick and the program’s new general manager Michael Lombardi after accepting their roles was to secure the two commits who did not sign in the early signing. On Saturday, the team’s most important piece of the 2025 class will be making his final decision.
2025 4✮ QB Bryce Baker revealed on Thursday night that he will be making his final decision sometime on Saturday after speaking with Belichick on Thursday evening.
The decision will come down to the Tar Heels, Penn State and LSU after the other two schools turned up the heat following Mack Brown’s firing. Baker took an official visit to Penn State back on November 30th, which makes them the biggest threat to Tar Heels. That being said, the new staff should feel good about where they are at going into this decision, especially with it immediately following their conversation.
This season, as a senior at in-state East Forsyth High School, Baker threw for 3,523 yards and posted a 40-5 touchdown-interception ratio while completing 74.8% of his passes. He also ran for 303 yards and six touchdowns on 60 rush attempts.
