One of the top priorities for Bill Belichick and his new staff is reaffirming the commitments of the team’s two 2025 commits who did not sign during the early signing period.

According to Adam Friedman and Greg Smith of Rivals, Belichick will meet with both 4✮ QB Bryce Baker and 4✮ EDGE Austin Alexander at some point later today to discuss their commitments.

Baker, the No. 82 overall and No. 8 quarterback in the 2025 class according to 247Sports Composite Players Rankings, has been committed to Carolina since June of 2023 and was firm in his decision until Mack Brown’s firing. He told Don Callahan on Wednesday following the announcement of Belichick’s hire that he is “eager” to hear from the legendary coach.

This season, as a senior at in-state East Forsyth High School, Baker threw for 3,523 yards and posted a 40-5 touchdown-interception ratio while completing 74.8% of his passes. He also ran for 303 yards and six touchdowns on 60 rush attempts.

Alexander, the No. 420 overall and the No. 43 EDGE in the class, was another guy who remained solidly committed to the Tar Heels until Mack Brown’s firing.

This season at Cooper High School in Union, KY, Alexander tallied 54 total tackles, 14.0 tackles for loss, 13.0 sacks, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries in thirteen games.
