Heel Tough Blog: 2025 In-State Safety Reveals Official Visit Date

Josh Bell Photography

With each passing day, the Tar Heels official visit list for the month of June continues to grow and on Wednesday, they added another in-state target to that group.

2025 unranked safety Justin Rowe announced via social media that he will take his official visit to Chapel Hill on the weekend of June 7th. He joins 4✮ EDGE Bryce Davis, 3✮ CB Onis Konanbanny and unranked WR Malik Clark as those who are already scheduled to officially visit that weekend. Rowe is also scheduled to officially visit South Carolina in the month of June.

The Tar Heels appear to be right in the thick of the three team race for Rowe right now. He was a part of the substantial group of targets that took an unofficial visit for the home basketball game against Duke back on February 3rd which was his second visit to campus so far. As of right now, the official trip to South Carolina will be his first, but one would expect him to visit beforehand. The third team is Michigan, who established themselves in a good spot with him last summer. The question is, are the Wolverines still in race with head coach Jim Harbaugh and defensive coordinator Jesse Minter having departed. As of right now, he does not have an official visit scheduled to Ann Arbor, meaning this could be yet another battle in this class between the two Carolinas. The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine has the Tar Heels as the favorite right now with a 43.4% chance to land his commitment.
